Intelligent Energy Orchestration
Mathematical optimization for solar, battery, and dynamic electricity tariffs.
Designed to reduce electricity costs through mathematical optimization.
Use our physics-based calculator to estimate your system's production and savings. Powered by real weather data and pvlib solar modeling.
Your location is used only for solar calculation and is not stored or transmitted.

Solar production, weather, and dynamic electricity prices drive mathematical optimization—not guesswork.
Linear programming algorithms optimize battery charging, heating, and consumption schedules.
Designed to shift consumption to cheaper off-peak hours. Savings potential: €50–150/month for a typical 10 kWh battery with dynamic tariff — based on our optimization model, not yet verified in production.

PlannedYou'll connect your Victron installation and OpenHAB setup. OAuth authentication keeps your data secure.
Our algorithm will fetch price forecasts, weather data, and your consumption patterns to calculate an optimized battery schedule.
Download generated OpenHAB rules or connect via API. The goal: your battery charges during cheap hours and discharges during expensive peaks.
Ergant started as a personal project by an electrical engineer who got tired of manually optimizing his own Victron system. After months of spreadsheets and trial-and-error, we built a mathematical optimization engine that shows real promise — our model estimates savings of €600–1,800 per year for a typical Austrian setup with dynamic tariff. Now we're putting it to the test.
Free during beta. After launch, plans start at €9/month. No hidden fees, no long-term contracts. Cancel anytime.
Currently Victron Energy inverters with OpenHAB integration. Support for Home Assistant and additional inverter brands (Fronius, SMA, SolarEdge) is planned for later releases.
Your historical energy data will stay on your local OpenHAB installation. We'll only access current values via OAuth with your explicit permission. All communication will be encrypted with HTTPS. See our Datenschutzerklärung for details.
Basic OpenHAB familiarity helps. We generate the automation rules for you — you just download and install them in your OpenHAB configuration. If you can edit a text file and restart a service, you can use Ergant.
It depends on your system size, electricity tariff, and consumption patterns. Our model estimates €50–150/month savings potential for a 10 kWh battery with a dynamic tariff like aWATTar — but we haven't verified this in production yet. The calculator above gives you a personalized estimate based on your specific setup.
